This role will be for the Midlands Region of Ireland with a base site of Mount Lucas Wind Farm. Are you one who looks for solutions and regards a problem as an opportunity?

If yes, we are currently recruiting for a Wind Turbine Service Technician to join the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy team working in the
Midlands Region of Ireland. As a Wind Turbine Service Technician, you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated service team who will carry out all service, maintenance and repair work. Safety and Quality form a central part of our culture, and the ideal candidate will have a strong focus on both.
They will provide excellent service to our customers and have the ability to work on complex systems in challenging environments.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to- Work as part of a team ensuring service schedules are adhered to
- Fault find and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Report any faults or observations to the service coordinator
- Prepare service reports for completed work
- Keep all service records up to date
- Ensure all safety requirements are adhered to
- Carry out retrofits as required
- Attend additional training courses as required
- Cover weekends on a rota basis
- Attend operation meetings as required
- Attend out of hours' faults when required
- Extensive training and testing will be provided covering safety and technical job requirements
What you need to make a difference A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for...
- Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering qualification or equivalent experience - essential
- Previous wind turbine experience would be advantageous (although full training will be provided for the right candidate)
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills are required
- Strong ability to organize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation
- Ability to work for long periods of time at height
- Ability to work under pressure and meet regular deadlines
- The candidate must demonstrate strong initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal success
- High level of flexibility is required
- Computer literate
- Possess a full valid driver's license
