About the Position: Vestas is in search of a qualified individual with a background in Large Correctives to oversee the development and execution of wind turbine repair projects at various Wind Farms. This role involves ensuring the safe and profitable execution of repairs, whether under existing service contracts with Vestas or independently. The Corrective Services Manager will recruit, train, and oversee a team of technicians, facilitate process improvements, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the efficiency and safety of turbine repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and profitable planning and execution of assigned turbine repair projects.
- Hire, train, develop, and coordinate a team of 8 to 12 technicians responsible for regional repair projects.
- Embrace and enforce corporate safety standards, ensuring team compliance with organizational standards.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans for repair projects.
- Communicate project plans and statuses to internal and external stakeholders, resolving any issues that arise.
- Support the sales team in proposal development.
- Provide input on improvements to tooling, work instructions, and spare parts to the development team.
- Identify and drive changes to improve team functions, safety, and efficiency.
- Mentor managers at Vestas service contract sites for out-of-scope major repairs.
- Collaborate with the Resource Group to coordinate technicians across multiple projects in North America.
- Identify and develop key vendors to support project strategy.
- Support continuous quality improvement processes to reduce defects in parts, repairs, and service.
Essential Functions:
- Establish and coordinate a capable team of technical professionals.
- Valid driver's license, passport, and ability to travel as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Comprehensive English communication skills (verbal, written, active listening, meeting management, presentation).
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with others.
- Effective cross-functional team management skills.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a service, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
- Solid technical background with experience in developing repairs, tooling, and procedures.
- Proven leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, developing employees, and succeeding in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to manage sub-contractors and navigate commercial terms and negotiation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability in continuous improvement and quality methodologies.
- Comprehensive technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with customer interaction and business development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- English communication skills (verbal, written, active listening, meeting management, presentation).

- Ability to climb stairs & vertical ladders to heights of 60 to 100 meters and at times supervise work in confined space environments.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to, but not more than 50 lbs. in weight.
- Ability to observe training and obtain certification in required safety programs that include LOTO, Electrical, Fall Arrest & High Angle Emergency Decent, and Confined Space.
- Ability to successfully participate in all training courses, including controlled decent practical exercises.
- Due to safety parameters of fall protection equipment, the total weight of required PPE and gear shall weigh 300 lbs or less while being worn. Required PPE and gear can weigh up to 40 lbs.
