•Service > Global Service Operations, Quality & HSE > Technical Operations Excellence Technical Operations Excellence is part of the Operations Engineering department within Global Service. We are responsible for supporting the regional Operations and Engineering teams within the service organization, ensuring that they have the right solutions available to optimize the performance of the turbines.
Our team is made of experts within our fields, bridging the gap between technical and operational aspects of the service business. We have a strong focus on stakeholder management and satisfaction, interacting with colleagues across both the globe and the entire Vestas value chain.
Responsibilities - Act as the main Global Operations Engineering point of contact for software and troubleshooting-related service issues
- Act as the leader of the software and technical support service functional community, connecting the different regional operations and engineering teams with global functions, ensuring knowledge sharing in virtual and physical forums
- Escalate key pain points within the regional service communities to relevant depts in global functions for issue resolution
- Identify key performance drivers within relevant functional areas and ensure there is an agreed action plan to deal with the issue
- Act as technical and operational reviewer of solutions and deliverables during RCA, development, and implementation when addressing quality issues with service impact
- Ensure service requirements are captured during new product development and key deliverables are ready for introduction to service operations
- Identify areas for operational improvement of WTG servicing and work with relevant stakeholders to develop into executable tasks
Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a general Engineering or computer science-related function such as mechanical engineering, systems engineering, software engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering-related wind turbine software or technical support service role
- A deep understanding of wind turbine software, control functions, and troubleshooting across the value chain (design, testing, certification, service, and decommissioning) and how this impacts turbine operation and performance
- Excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Training or experience in project or program management
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Data analytics skills (preferably PowerBI, SQL) and Six Sigma or similar training are an added value
