(Remote) Director of Construction - Utility Scale Battery Storage Projects
My client is seeking a talented Director of Construction to lead their utility scale battery storage projects on a remote basis. As a leader in the energy sector, they are dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions and enhancing grid reliability through innovative battery storage project development across Texas and California.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Direct and oversee all phases of utility scale battery storage projects from concept through completion.
- Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic construction plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with project goals and company objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate project requirements and ensure seamless execution.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and environmental requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and maximize success.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Track record (minimum 8 years) in managing large scale renewable construction projects, preferably with significant experience in battery storage or utility scale energy projects.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling, budget management, and quality assurance processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
