Process Safety - Associate Engineer to join our team in
Louisiana. This role reports to the Manager, Process Safety and will be responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities: - Support process safety management elements such as MOC, PSSR, PHA, building siting, process design.
- Provide support on the communication of process safety risks.
- Day to day support of Process Safety Barrier Health reporting.
- Attend Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and assist in managing associated action items.
- Assist in the management of process safety event (PSE) investigations.
- Support assessments in the following processes:
- Car sealing
- Procedures - initial start-up and SOP and red line revisions
- Process Safety Events
- Permit to Work
- SIMOPs
- Inhibits / Bypasses
- Safety Critical Element management
- Pre-startup Safety Reviews
- Monitoring process safety metrics and analyzing data to identify trends and outliers.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process or Mechanical Engineering. Based on experience, other Engineering disciplines will be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience working as an Engineer in a process plant environment would be a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of process safety.
- Engineering graduates with a demonstrable passion to pursue a career in process safety would be considered.
- Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
