Module Quality & Customization is an R&D organization part of the Power System Integration department in Vestas Power Solutions. We focus on product development to ensure grid compliance of Vestas power plants. We are a global organization and in very close interaction with the market that is involved in various customized technology activities with our external partners. The core products within Power System Integration include the development of Vestas power plant controllers, the design of advanced products and solutions for grid integration of Vestas plants.
Responsibilities
- Creating requirement specifications, design descriptions, verification procedures and reports
- Design and implementation of control solutions for Power Plant control by model based design using MATLAB/Simulink/State Flow, Testing the functionalities in simulation and lab setup and debugging
Qualifications
- Ph.D/bachelor's in electrical Engg / Masters in Power Systems
- Minimum Professional experience: 2-3 years
- Knowledge of Software Life Cycle
- Good cultural understanding and international working experience
- May have worked with Grid operators, Power generators, Utilities, Grid consulting companies, Transmission- or Distribution companies, converter designs etc.
- Have the desire and the ability to understand and maintain overview of a wide range of advanced technical domains within grid integration of renewable energy
Competencies
- Good knowledge on power system steady state and dynamic analysis
- Experience with electrical integration of renewable power generation and grid codes- Detailed knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/State flow based Model Based Development (Additional knowledge in PSCAD)- Basic knowledge of real time control systems and software development
- Experience with test and verification of closed loop control applications in design(simulation environment), lab and on-site
- Software tools, jira, sourcetree, git, etc.
- Proficiency in agile software development
- Experience in requirement gathering, feasibility study, design, implementation, testing and documentation for software delivery
