* Site work schedule is 14 days on and 14 days off with 12 hours per day.
Description:
We are looking for a Senior Cost Analyst who will be a subject matter expert in all aspects of Cost Management. This is a field-based role with 14 days on and 14 days off serving as a back-to-back to the other Senior Cost Analyst for Facility based in St. Fort John, British Columbia. This position will be reporting to Project Controls Lead - Execution. This position will be responsible for Cost Management of Fabrication activities carried out off-site and on-site Construction and Pre-commissioning activities.
This position will interact and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to Quality Management, Construction Management, Construction Infrastructure, Project Management, Planning, Finance, Contracts Administration, Transportation, and Logistics.
The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in using SAP/SAP HANA for cost management and have some experience in implementing, testing, and providing feedback on an ERP system. Basic knowledge of SiteView, and Omega PIMS is also preferable.
Responsibilities may include:
* Working and co-located with site-based Construction Management Team (CMT).
* Providing inputs and suggesting improvements/changes to the Construction estimates put together by Internal cost estimation team as part of Stage Gate process at different stages of the Project.
* Co-ordinate, validate and analysis of construction estimates from the contractors, discussions with CMT/other stakeholders before finalization and facilitate issuing work orders or change orders as per Client's procedures and processes.
* Develop/ modify cost reporting requirements tailored to the Project and facilitate implementation from the contractors.
* Construction Cost Control/reporting set-up including developing or participating in finalizing WBS/CBS per company coding and execution plan. Co-ordinate with Calgary office for integrated reporting needs.
* Co-ordinate with CMT, Supply Chain Management and Finance departments to set-up work orders, contracts in GEP (Supply Chain Module)/SAP/SAP HANA/PIMS aligned with Clients Capital projects Procedures.
* Review, discuss and finalize Cost reports received from the contractors and integrate the information into Internal cost reports.
* Administer and LEMs from different contractors and ensure quality and entry into SiteView or other internal software tools for Value of Work Done (VOWD). Co-ordinate with contractors and CMT to maintain quality, accuracy, and timely processing.
* Administer Contractor's Service Confirmations/Invoices, review, co-ordinate with contractors, CMT, SCM, Finance to maintain quality, accuracy, and timely processing.
* Responsible for Change Management for fabrication and construction including maintaining change logs, routinely reviewing contractor change logs and administering change order process.
* Responsible for providing inputs or developing allocation models to manage in-directs and shared services.
* Attend to Adhoc requests from CMT, finance, SCM or other stakeholders for any fabrication/construction related queries or clarifications.
* Prepare accurate forecasts, spend profiles, Long Range Plans aligned with long range capital project plans and yearly outlooks.
* Develop/prepare and present weekly/bi-weekly/monthly cost reports, detailed dashboards and provide alerts to the stakeholders.
* Organize, present, or participate in daily/weekly/monthly cost review meetings with relevant stakeholders.
* Co-ordinate with contractors for close-out reports and input to integrated internal close-out reports.
* Track, record, and provide inputs to Estimation and other stakeholders on historical actuals, quantity, cost based rates of placements.
* Other duties as required and directed by Project Controls Lead, Project Services Manager and CMT.
* Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong technical, interpersonal and team working skills.
* Familiarity with Stage Gate procedures and process.
* Experience with the typical Cost control requirements within all types of contract agreements (cost reimbursable, lump-sum, unit rate and target price).
* Demonstrated analytical skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines.
* SiteView and Omega PIMS experience is considered an asset.
* Implementation of a ERP system and/or application is considered an asset.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years oil and gas industry experience in a Project Control role.
* Expert hands-on experience in using SAP/SAP HANA.
* Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
* Degree or Technical Certificate, or equivalent work experience.
