Job Summary
In this role you will lead the US Digital UX Process and Platform Strategies that create modern and engaging experiences for our continuum of healthcare customers.
Lead the product design and delivery of eCommerce Digital tools, including large scale web implementations, mobile / responsive sites, web application and digital utilities.
Architect and manage the execution of multiple end-to-end, large-scale digital experiences that are cross-channel and cross-functional, which deliver value to the business and drive user and customer satisfaction.
Conceive and lead the digital design and UX / CX strategy in the context of user needs and business goals to build Digital and eCommerce tools for Medline.
Responsibilities:
Manages and maintains status on multiple concurrent digital creative projects, eCommerce projects and provides effective communication to project sponsors and senior management.
Maintains ownership of overall design direction and user interface elements of all digital properties in the pursuit of increased customer satisfaction.
Provide digital design standards and thought leadership to Digital Design team ensuring adherence to Medline brand while partnering closely with colleagues in eCommerce, marketing, product divisions, and IS to execute our product roadmaps.
Understands, researches, and implements modern digital design principles and techniques focused on increasing user interaction and customer experience.
Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity and accountability across an ambitious team of web designers, web developers and UX specialists for on-time, iterative delivery in a fast-paced, Agile development model.
Consult, engage and facilitate the execution of various key Marketing digital initiatives within a matrixed organization with shared accountabilities and outcomes.
Architect end-to-end digital experiences that enhance, drive user and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with IS technical teams to create and roll out new web and mobile features and improvements to our existing user experience including on-going enhancements.
Required Experience:
Education
BA/BS – in design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product or industrial), HCI or related field
Relevant Work Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in design thinking, user-centered web product design and development. At least 7 years of experience in digital design management and direction.
Experience applying modern design principles and techniques, including interaction design, responsive design and design patterns, web standards, development tools, and CMS platforms.
Experience leading large scale implementation projects including website re-platforming.
Experience presenting to and coordinating senior level meetings.
Experience developing strategic initiatives, which align with business goals and budget.
Experience with agile / lean or related practices to design, prototype, test and develop end-to-end solutions.
Advanced level experience in product life-cycle management, feature planning, and roadmap development.
At least 5+ years of experience managing teams including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people.
Experience working with multiple vendors on projects to complete project milestones, as well as, supplemental staffing as needed based on projects and resources.
Extensive experience with information architecture, user flows, wireframes, page template design and front-end development.

Ideal candidate will have experience in high-tough / high assortment ecommerce experience for B2B and B2C distribution
Experience leading global design teams with geographically dispersed resources.
3+ years in UX research and management.
3+ years in Digital Marketing management.
User experience certification or related HCI certification a plus.
