Overall Responsibilities:
We are looking for a UX designer that can help us improve Client Drive by working with Product managers to imagine new features and to improve existing features. Overall responsibilities include:
Create interaction design solutions for various Client Drive projects
Collaborate closely with user research to inform design direction
Communicate design strategy to both internal and external teams; clearly rationalize and justify design work and advocate for users’ needs
Partner with UX, PM, and Eng leaders to envision the future of Drive UX
Understand business goals and seek to understand product market, competitors, opportunities, and challenges
Coach and manage designers to deliver the best work of their careers
Lead design for different devices and platforms
Collaborate with other UX leaders to drive best practices and UX consistency across Client Workspace overall
Ensure our experiences and standards are accessible
Contribute to the creation of visual and motion design language, standards, and design systems for the customer-facing Drive experience
Top Daily Responsibilities:
Independently create interaction design solutions for various Client Drive projects.
Partner with UX, PM, and Eng peers to create design solutions and work through approval processes to get them built.
Create design specifications including accessibility standards.
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of professional interaction or UX design experience
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams of visual & motion designers, UX writers, and UX engineers
Strong product sensibility, with capability to evangelize and drive key product innovations
Experience designing with accessibility requirements and internationalization standards
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent and evangelize complex business or technical concepts externally
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Experience working on productivity software or Business to Business (B2B) software
Experience working on a storage product
Experience with Client Material design standards
Experience in Figma
