The Compensation Market Intelligence Manager is responsible for providing guidance on external market trends in compliance with local regulations. This position is in charge to ensure the access to and the quality of external market data for internal users. This role manages the job evaluation Subject Matter Expert and ensures consistency across SLB's job grading methodology.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Overseeing the compensation review cycle:
- Reviewing market data selection.
- Reviewing aging of market data.
- Reviewing new design proposals.
- Approval salary structures .
- Attending, reviewing, approving compensation reviews .
- Overseeing the timeline, following up where not on track, maintaining date files etc.
- Overseeing the Market Salary Adjustment cycle:
- Changes, improvements, updates.
- Establish timelines (for reviews, approvals, system processing) .
- Communication between stakeholders.
- Management of systems.
- Management of contracts and relationships with external providers:
- Contract renewal negotiations
- Digital License to Operate
- Coordination of survey submissions
- Global job matching for surveys
- Participate in the steering committee of ExecuNet and coordinate central submission
- Discussions with internal stakeholders on best data sources, new surveys, and changes with providers
- Job Evaluation and Global Grading System:
- Ongoing GGS re-evaluations
- Acquisitions and JVs
- Manage job evaluation expertise
- Review Exemption Requests.
- Review Home Country and International Staff Job Bonus Policies.
- Review and approve proposals on local compensation models and local incentive plans.
- Design and update of International Staff salary structures.
- Internal Training:
- Serve as a subject matter expert teaching various topics in SLB compensation training course, C&B1, and advanced compensation course.
- Manage internal knowledge-sharing forum.
- 8+ years of compensation experience (global experience preferred).
- Position reports to Director of Global Compensation..
