Job Summary: The Wellsite Supervisor trainee assists and supports Field Engineers, Field Specialists and Wellsite Supervisors at the well site and learns through hands-on training to achieve the minimum level of proficiency.
They are expected to become familiar with the oilfield business in general, wellsite tasks, units and its basic equipment, specific tools/services and the SLB culture. They go through training to gain autonomy for delivering high-quality services to clients at the wellsite and to gain autonomy for the application and utilization of the business systems.
The Wellsite Supervisor trainee learns to provide technical support for basic downhole and surface equipment and furthermore becomes familiar with the comprehensive oversight of risk management. They are expected to ensure systematic usage of standard work and risk management and must adhere to the Zero Tolerance Rule Application. They assist with Wellsite Customer / Drilling Contractor Engagement and also assist with cell basic equipment/tools maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties: - Ensure Completes equipment calibration and wellsite integrity checks.
- Ensures equipment compliance according to the logging programs.
- Prepare and validate orchestration program / automated workflows.
- Condition equipment / logging tools for agreed acquisition program.
- Provides Hardware LQC and troubleshooting where required.
- Participates in all Job reviews and job debriefs.
- Captures data from the field in the business system.
- Manages any deviation from the job program through proper Management of Change.
- Manages and escalate service quality incidents.
- Captures wellsite data in the appropriate Business system.
- Complete job package and job closure.
- HSE/SQ event reporting and participate in HSE/SQ event investigation and closure.
Essential Requirements: - Qualification level: professional, vocational-technical diploma (HNC/HND).
- Minimum specific experience in mechanical engineering required.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills: - Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and confidently.
- Be able to choose and initiate action.
- Be eager to deliver results and meet demands.
- Remain positive during pressures, setbacks, and fast-paced environments.
- Have a hands-on, practical mindset.
- Hands-on experience in a mechanical role is highly desirable.
