Job Description:
The Document Control / Office Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the accurate management, storage, retrieval, and distribution of project documents. This role will interface closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to maintain document control standards and support project progress. The ideal candidate should possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in CAD and ASite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Implement and maintain document control processes and systems using ASite, ensuring adherence to project standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders.
- Track revisions, updates, and approvals of documents to maintain accurate document versions.
- Support the creation of CAD drawings and models as needed, adhering to project requirements and specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and action items.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in document control within the construction, engineering, or transportation sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and document management systems (e.g., ASite).
- Strong understanding of document control processes and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly.
- Experience with Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) projects is a plus.
