Job Summary:
This position monitors, maintains, and controls direct functions within the manufacturing shop, as well as manages and coordinates process improvement projects.
2ND SHIFT Relationships: Supervision: Value Stream Manager
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: -
- Coaches employees on administrative or technical processes and procedures.
- Ensures the safety of employees.
- Ensures that workers have the necessary equipment and prints to perform their duties.
- Resolves production issues and escalates those that require management attention.
- Educates employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Ensures manufacturing work instructions and procedures are up to date.
- Conducts performance reviews and formal performance/career development discussions with direct reports.
- Conducts New Employee/Contractor Manufacturing Induction.
- Conducts Weekly Toolbox Meetings.
- Maintains Competency Matrix for Manufacturing employees.
- Maintains time-tracking system for employees.
- Maintains adequate staffing needs.
- Initiates Progressive Disciplinary.
- Initiates Root Cause Analysis for all scrap events.
- Creates training packets for all employees and contractors.
- Educates employees on Quality and HSE standards and procedures.
- Identifies and resolve Quality and HSE issues and escalate accordingly.
- Monitors Production Flow
Previous Experiences and Competencies:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Previous manufacturing experience with previous manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
