Duties & Responsibilities
To support the Bids and Proposals Team and Sales Team with technical expertise in responding to client ITTs (Invitation to Tender) and other client technical enquiries. The Senior Proposal Engineer can also be requested to support the completion of project work as necessary and should have the following attributes:

• Broad knowledge of own professional discipline, and general knowledge of related disciplines.
• Builds relationships within and across teams and delivers key technical content to influence stakeholders.
Functions
The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
ESSENTIAL
• Review and understand the client requirements and the engineering scope in a given proposal.
• Be responsible for producing technically correct documentation for product design, manufacture, analysis and design validation tests, including reports, calculations, drawings procedures etc. in a given proposal, FEED (Front End Engineering Design) study or other assigned engineering scope of work.
• Interface with clients and suppliers as necessary to resolve interface issues and justify Oceaneering's technical solutions.
• Interface and support other functions to enable a successful (safe, on time, with high quality and on budget) completion of engineering proposal deliverables.
• Use CI (Continuous Improvement) techniques to eliminate waste in the proposal engineering process.
• Provide cover for Proposals Engineering Manager as and when required.
• Provide training and mentoring to others.
• Be an active member of an Oceaneering core process team.
• Provide site representation to support global engineering team's maintenance and development of tools and processes.
• Participate in HSE awareness initiatives including but not limited to STOP, Observation Cards, HSE Safety Suggestions.
• Consistently display required levels of engagement and a positive `can-do` attitude.
• Support other un-planned activities, as necessary.

• Identify opportunities for improvement of Oceaneering's products and/or processes.
• Support the execution of product and/or process improvement projects, as necessary.
• Effectively use all systems related platforms to manage the fundamentals of the role.

• Support the organization's drive towards excellence in health and safety performance.
• Carry out any other duties/tasks/requests in accordance with our business needs.
Qualifications

REQUIRED
• An undergraduate college or university degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• A strong candidate with a non-degree qualification may be considered for this position providing they can demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role.
• Considerable experience as either a Project Engineer or Proposals Engineer in an engineering organization.
DESIRED
• Experience working in the Oil & Gas or related industry is desirable. Subsea or Offshore Engineering experience is highly desirable.
• Lean / Six-Sigma experience will be a considerable advantage - ability to demonstrate application of improvement techniques and successful results will be required. Design for Six-Sigma (DfSS) will also be considered.
• Previous experience in a cables, umbilicals or flexible risers manufacturing environment.
