The primary function of this role is to develop and deliver the best inspection solutions possible. This role must interface between engineering and production to create and select the appropriate technologies, specifications, processes, and procedures to ensure internal and client requirements are exceeded. Principle technical understanding of a range of NDE methodologies and wide industry knowledge of best practices, tools, equipment, and procedures are needed to ensure we have the best possible solutions deployed to maintain compliance and ensure our products maintain safety, reliability, and efficient performance for our customers. Additionally, the role will support other associated tasks such as job preparation, coordination, and reporting as directed by the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities
- Select the appropriate methods and technique for a specific inspection as per customer specifications.
- Prepare and verify the adequacy of all procedures and techniques used in the methods which they are certified. Techniques will be verified for accuracy by witnessing and/or reviewing the process.
- Approve NDT procedures and other NDT related work instructions for technical adequacy in the method which they are certified.
- General knowledge of all NDT methods
- Produces, administers and grades examinations for all levels of personnel.
- Audit site and supplier programs
- Makes acceptance or rejection decisions based upon customer specifications, visual inspection and gauges
- Perform a variety of other duties and tasks of equal or lesser complexity

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Minimum Job Qualifications - High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Must possess and maintain ASNT NDT Level III certifications in RT (X-Ray Tube and Computed Radiography) and PT (UTT, VT and MT optional)
