Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Logistics Specialists manage movements of assets and personnel, maintain data in the ERP system (SAP) that is directly linked with billing, take orders for new and existing customers, dispatch drivers, coordinate their movements and assist our technical service department with equipment troubleshooting. Professionalism and attention to detail are key in this fast-paced environment supporting 24/7 operations around the continent and world.
The Logistics Department serves as the communication core for VWTS and is essential to the success of order fulfillment. Our Logistics Specialists are expected to be adept at providing world-class customer service in an ever-changing technological industry. The Logistics Specialists work in a fast-paced, high volume environment that utilizes numerous sources & platforms for communication.

Duties & Responsibilities: - Directs and monitors the VWTS operations for all customers by ensuring that employees and equipment are available and in use when required.
- Coordinates activities with Commercial, Drivers, Field Service Representatives (FSRs), IX Account Managers, Order Entry Reps, Project Managers and respective Plant Managers or their designated representatives.
- Utilizes ERP system (SAP) to transact orders, status updates, data inputs, and equipment movement in real time.
- Acts as an information source for customers, managers and employees on information received from the field and service centers.
- Receives customer requests for service from customer representatives and various internal functions Commercial, Engineering, Technical Service, etc.

- Gathers pertinent information to ensure job success - determines type of equipment, necessary supplies, test equipment, FSR coverage, flow rate, feed water quality and on-time delivery.
- Dispatches Drivers, Field Service personnel and equipment from respective plants or diverts equipment in route, if necessary, to the appropriate job sites.
- Maintains contact with Drivers, FSRs, Sales Managers, service centers, other company personnel, and customers serving as a 24 hour, 365 days a year communications center.
- Maintains various records and logs. These may include, but are not limited to: job status report, customer information, travel instructions to each of the job sites, driver dispatch logs, meter readings, and customer job site data through Veolia's customer management tools.
- Endeavors to maintain a positive relationship with customers always while collecting all pertinent information.
- Alerts Sales Managers, Plant Managers, Logistics, Global Field Service, Quality, IX Account
- Managers, Order Entry Reps, or the applicable personnel to developing situations and customer related updates.
- Works in conjunction with plant management to monitor driver availability, rotation and location utilizing various means of communication, including electronic logging software.
- Participates in the transfer of information and daily/nightly planning at shift change.
- Provides basic technical consultation to FSRs, Drivers, customers and others when requested.
- Strives to keep a balanced inventory of mobile equipment based on regional customer demand.
- Contributes ideas to simplify execution of logistics while being cost efficient and effective.
- Assists Drivers in maintaining data inputs via mobile app (Movilizer).
- Assists Drivers and field in equipment maintenance & repair issues via Penske Fleet Insight.
- Monitors Driver location, routes, and time on duty via PeopleNet.
- Are required to be DOT HazMat certified and create chemical Bill of Ladings for relevant moves.
- Attend and participate in multiple daily meetings with IX Account Managers and Commercial
- Teams to discuss order priority and execution.
- Handle the communication, negotiation, and booking of contract hauler loads.
- Maintains the "CH Tracker", which contains all details of each 3 rd Party load booked. This data is used by the business for metrics and by the Koerber group for invoicing vendors.
- Create all documents and paperwork related to deliveries, international border paperwork, chemical bill of ladings.
- Must manage a high volume of customer service calls via the Avaya Cloud Phone.
- Must manage nearly 1,000 daily communications via phone, email, and chat.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Must be fluent in Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and OneNote
- Must be fluent in Google software such as Sheets, Docs, Slides, Meet, Mail, and Drive.
- Moderate to quick typing skills
- Strong communication skills, able to quickly, simply, and effectively articulate concepts
- Good organizational and administrative skills.

QualificationsEducation & Experience:Required:- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Mathematical skills, including operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and time
Preferred:- Moderate-to-quick typing skills
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Background in Customer Service and Transportation/Shipping/Logistics
- Ability to work with a team
- Strong communication skills, able to quickly, simply, and effectively articulate concepts
- Bachelor's Degree in transportation related program
- Prior experience in logistics, freight, and/or driver management
- Ability to use business specific software programs, specifically SAP
- Experience in VWTS Field Services or Plant Production
- Knowledge of VWTS mobile water applications
Working Conditions:- The Veolia WTS Services USA Inc. is in Norfolk, VA. The NAM (North American) Services Logistics Team works out of this location on a hybrid (in-office and remote) schedule.
