The Converter Control Hardware & Firmware Sub Module develops and maintains all embedded converter software, controller HW, SW tools, real-time simulation platforms, and SW test systems for all converters. We provide first-in-class Vestas converter solutions with quality meeting system and grid requirements.
Responsibilities - Take ownership of the technical tasks/solutions in different projects and actively work with the converter team and other stakeholders
- You will have software development tasks, as part of the Converter software application development team, participate in concept development, own and develop converter software architectural design and development, and deliver product configuration model, functional test, and verification
- You will be engaged in product performance feedback from the field and new product requirements are translated into a new feature, functionality development, or improvement to the modular converter control software platform
- You will have the possibility to drive, participate, and interact with team members and other stakeholders to ensure the SW solution developed is according to expectations and adhere to the modular SW roadmap
- You will be asked to take Tech Lead roles in different projects
Qualifications - Master or Bachelor of Engineering, it's an added value if it's one of the following or similar disciplines: Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in embedded software and product development for systems including HW and SW interaction (e.g. State machine design, supervision, data processing, monitoring, and product configuration)
- Have good functional and modular SW development understanding
- High SW architectural understanding, and ability to perform new software design, development, and debugging independently
- Experienced in C and C++
- Experienced with Source Code Management and SW Continuous Integration process
Advantages, but not requirements:
- Experience in SW applications for a converter or turbine SW application
- Experienced with product Configuration Management Tools, i.e. Configit
- Knowledge of System Engineering methodology
- Knowledge of DFMEA methodology
- Knowledge of Matlab & Simulink

- Able to support other team members and able to work in a multi-cultural and global environment
