We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical engineering department as a key player in the development of next generation of fixtures and test equipment. This key position includes design and leading of fixtures design, close interaction with NPI, SPE (System Product Eng.), HW, PMC (Product management & configuration), Thermal, Layout.
What you’ll be doing:
Drive the mechanical design aspects of Test/Assembly infrastructure (fixtures and jigs) to enable high volume manufacturing.
Drive multiple early design concepts while working in fast-paced product development cycles.
Independently lead JIGs design from concept, through detailed design, and support it during Qualification, NPI and MP stages.
Leading large projects and guiding designers in sub-systems designs.
Support production performing failure analysis and handling reliability issues.
Collaborate in research of ground-breaking technologies, materials, and processes with other groups to bring in creative ideas that solve ever growing needs.
What we need to see:
B.Sc. in mechanical engineering
At least 8 years of experience in classical mechanical design of mechanisms, jigs and fixtures for products assembly/testing.
Knowledge and experience in automation (pneumatics, xyz, robots, servo, etc…)
Strong background in design of machining and sheet metal parts.
Knowledge and experience in static and dynamic analysis and simulations.
Experience in leading large projects and mentor junior designers in detailed designs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
Open mind, challenged, creative, initiator, and quick perception.
Self-motivated with a sharp learning curve.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and co-workers while being very well organized (knowhow to work in Multitasking mode with tasks priorities).
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Proficiency with mechanical simulation and animation tools.
Knowledge of Pneumatic control systems and automatic assembling lines.
Familiarity with IDF file exchange with Layout engineers.
Understanding in wide metal manufacturing and coating technologies.
Experience in opto-mechanic and micromechanical manufacturing and testing processes
