Job Description
Create advanced analytics that provide insights into our Distributed Products business, with a particular emphasis on Margins, Customers and Product Categories.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Divisional Business Partners to design, develop, and implement appropriate analytics solutions.
Monitor department and Company-wide KPIs and implement solutions to improve the quality and reporting of data.
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to analyze sales performance, margins, and vendor relationships.
Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key metrics and trends using business intelligence tools.
Utilize data mining tools (SQL, Python, PowerBI, Alteryx) to create new and informative insights.
Drive process improvements through the management of BI tools, reporting, and visualization capabilities.
Develop deep-dive analytical project work in partnership with Finance leadership to inform strategy or uncover new insights.
Build robust forecast models on a customer/vendor level to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Remain up to date with BI trends, including new technology and data visualizations techniques.
Support the development and implementation of financial planning and forecasting processes.
Monitor industry trends and benchmarks to ensure competitive positioning and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills
Ability to consolidate / manage large data sets
Experience working with an ERP system.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
In-depth understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting
Expertise in creating detailed financial models to analyze sales, margins, and vendor performance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly
Experience working with automation tools, databases and big data
Advanced Proficiency in Tableau/PowerBI and advanced knowledge of SQL
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in Python/Pandas
Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
