Project Controls Manager

Summary of Position:
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling all project schedules in support of operations. The position works closely with the Project Manager for each project and the Vice President of Operations to develop proposal, baseline, and progress schedules over the life of each project. They also assist with change management on projects to evaluate time impacts, prepare schedule related document packages for invoicing and provide support in the use of Procore construction management software for schedule related work.
Position Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate the scheduling of project administrative, subcontract buyout, submittals, procurement, production, and testing/commissioning activities to develop proposal, baseline, and periodic progress schedule updates utilizing Primavera P6 Professional.
* Work closely with project teams to confirm full scope of work definition and proper sequencing of the construction tasks associated with each project.
* Generate production reports that provide a clear understanding of the status of each project, particularly critical path requirements and potential delaying factors.
* Provide recommendations to the project teams on assignment and timing of resources and upcoming construction activities to meet the schedule.
* Prepare formal document packages for monthly progress schedule updates that include required reports, diagrams, and narratives as required by the contract or Lifecycle standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering related studies or 5 years' experience in the construction industry
- Project Scheduling experience & expertise, with strong background in Primavera P6 Professional
- Experience using cost loaded resource schedules in Primavera P6 Professional
- Experience in federal construction projects in the $1-$25 million range
Preferred Qualifications:
* Able to read and understand construction blueprints and contract specifications
* Strong computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office products
* Ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
* Able to express information clearly and efficiently, both verbally and in writing
* Well organized and possesses good time management skills
* High interested in individuals with experience using Procore cloud-based construction management software and Resident Management System (RMS) for the U.S. Army Corps.
Compensation details: 65000-85000 Yearly Salary
