The Tendering / Proposals Engineer is a technical lead for the Control Systems Technical package and is responsible for creating the controls work package, including scope of work, supporting tender costing, creating technical descriptions of equipment, providing support at customer clarification meetings and tender handover meetings with the project team. The role involves providing alternative solutions which can reduce cost & risk and shorten delivery times.
What will you be doing
• - Manage and deliver high-value, complex controls system tender proposals
- Develop tenders in compliance with procedures and define scope of work for project execution
- Prepare technical solutions, review ITT specifications and raise exceptions & qualifications
- Develop RFQ packages for internal & external vendors and manage vendor clarifications
- Conduct design reviews and lead the tender Pre-Plant approval presentation
- Ensure technical alignment with controls package engineering and other engineering packages
- Identify and support risk assessments and create the controls system tender package
- Provide technical support during post-bid clarifications and handover to the project team
- Take technical lead on multiple tenders and propose solutions to technical problems
Minimum Job Qualifications We are looking to speak with qualified Engineers with experience of working in an Engineering, Manufacturing or Production environment in a technical engineering role. Tendering experience is preferred but will not be essential as training will be provided.
