Our Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain Business Unit is seeking a Sourcing/Procurement Specialist to join their team in Juno Beach, FL. This position is responsible for executing the sourcing process of materials for the Power Delivery business unit. The selected candidate for this role will also manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are on track and delivered to support project milestones. In this position you will develop both negotiation skills and commercial acumen as well as a greater understanding of how NextEra Energy delivers value to their customers.
Job Overview
Employees in this role execute the sourcing process for the assigned areas of spend in response to operational issues and needs. Individuals prepare simple sourcing agreements containing limited changes to the company's standard terms and conditions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Executes the sourcing process for assigned areas
- Interacts with assigned operating business units, legal experts, and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) personnel
- Interacts with the supplier community and industry analysts
- Analyzes responses to simple bid requests, including distilling commercial differences and making recommendations for supplier selection for contract awards
- Conducts simple negotiations successfully, and executes purchase orders
- Participates on sourcing project teams
- Communicates progress and results to supervision and ISC management
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
