Title: Technology Center Controller
Location: 2185 S Tracy Hall Parkway, Provo UT 84606, Hybrid option available with the possibility of working remotely for 2 days each week.
Description:
The Technology Center Controller is responsible for providing overall financial management and coordination of a technology center, which can include research, manufacturing, engineering or digital activities.
Responsibilities:
Management Books and Month End Reporting
- Oversee Month End process and controls through management of local Finance Analyst and coordination with HUBs
- Ensure compliance with Revenue Recognition criteria
- Month end reporting and commentary to stakeholders
- NPD reporting and forecasting in PAWS through HUB
- Responsibility of center Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheets (BS)
- Coordinate daily activity for local Finance Analyst
- Coordinate, Drive, and Present quarterly Rolling Forecast (ROFO) and annual Budget for MDCU, MDCI, and OMTC: Revenue, IBT, Inventory, Enablement, Workforce, CAPEX
- Coordinate and prepare monthly NMF: Revenue & IBT
- Prepare annual FPs and SFDs for corporate reporting
- Supervise activity in SAP (system integrity of the transactions which affect the company books)
- Supervise and ensure compliance with SLB procedures and Local business specific procedures
- Review preparation of BSN by HUBs with quarterly BSX signoff and reporting
- Quarterly Control Checklist review and signoff
- Oversee, update, and maintain center reports and PBI as needed
Cost Accounting and Inventory Control
- Oversight, review, and optimization of Inventory balances
- Yearly review and coordination of Inventory Standard Cost update
- Review and approval of inventory counts and ensure compliance of write-offs
- Certified costing preparation and review for Northrop US government contracts >$2M
Other Responsibilities
- Audit support (IA, Sales Tax, PPT)
- Oversee preparation of annual Personal Property Tax submission
- Continuous improvement on processes and procedures for Finance team
- Management meetings and support
- CAPEX project review and submission for approval
- DSO optimization and review of Accounts Receivable with team and HUBS
- Quarterly watch list review with NAM Credit on deferred revenue
- Quarterly travel to OMTC to provide local support
- Lease analysis and review
- Sales Commission calculation check and approval
- Quarterly CAT royalty preparation and review
Other duties as required to support the financial integrity and reporting of the center
Minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance. Preference for master's degree holders.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial management and cost accounting for manufacturing industries, with project accounting experience being beneficial.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- 5% domestic travel expected
- Candidates must have authorization to work and live in the US without sponsorship.
