THE POSITION.
This role requires a basic understanding and experience in health plans (HPs), managed service organizations (MSOs), and/or independent physician associations (IPAs), along with their day-to-day operations and reporting requirements. Strong Proficiency in data/database management, data entry, maintenance, and reporting tailored to MSO operations needs is essential, aligning with directives from both internal and external stakeholders. Emphasizing meticulous data collection, maintenance, basic analysis, and other data/reporting needs, this position collaborates extensively across departments to troubleshoot issues and facilitate reporting and data requirements as requested. This position must prioritize accuracy, consistency, and data quality while actively seeking opportunities for process enhancements to optimize data management and reporting workflows.
THE SPECS.

- Wage Range: $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.
THE DUTIES.
* Collect and validate data from various sources ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Develop and implement processes for ongoing data collection and validation to maintain data integrity.
* Enter collected data into appropriate databases or systems accurately and efficiently.
* Regularly update and maintain databases to reflect the most current information available.
* Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and variances.
* Generate regular reports and ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making processes within the organization.
* Conduct regular audits of data to ensure quality and consistency.
* Identify and address data quality issues promptly, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
* Manage databases, including organizing data, optimizing data structures, and ensuring data security and confidentiality.
* Implement data retention policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Continuously assess data management processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Propose and implement enhancements to streamline data workflows and increase efficiency.
* Collaborate with other teams within the MSO, such as IT, Provider Services, Utilization Management, Claims, etc. to ensure data integration and alignment with organizational goals.
* Provide support and guidance on data-related matters to internal stakeholders.
* Assist in creating and maintain documentation of data management processes, standards, and protocols.
* Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, such HIPAA, CCPA, and/or other data regulations, as applicable.
* Implement and enforce data governance policies to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate risks.
* Serve as a point of contact for data-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
* Provide technical support and guidance to users encountering data-related issues.
* Evaluate new tools and processes for potential adoption to enhance data management capabilities.
* Lead or participate in data-related projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
* Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:
THE EDUCATION.
* High school and/or equivalent work experience in health plan, managed service organization, IPA is required.
THE EXPERIENCE.
* 1+ years of related data management position within HP, MSO, IPA experience, preferred.
* Proven experience in data management and reporting in healthcare administration, preferred.
* Exceptional knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel to create informational reports that host data, charts, and other key insights to stakeholders.
* Strong QuickCap / EZ-Cap experience, highly preferred.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Experience in a HP, MSO, IPA environment with Medicare membership, preferred.
* Substantial practical knowledge and understanding of relevant business practices and applicable regulations/policies pertaining to data management.
* Strong experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience with conducting SQL queries to extract and transform data for generating comprehensive reports.
* Experience with Tableau or Microsoft BI to create dashboards for visual monitoring of metrics.
