You will have the great opportunity to work in an exciting and developing industry together with other motivated and committed colleagues.Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Travel Team-Onshore East Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering OFFSHORE , NORTH-WEST (Scandinavia,UK,Ireland) CENTRAL (Germany and Benelux) and EAST(Poland and Baltics countries, Austria,Switzerland,Czech Republic,Croatia,Hungary,Romania,Bulgaria,Serbia,Ukraine,Georgia and Kazakhstan). Our responsibilities include Sales, Project, Installation, and Service of wind farms in these regions.
Special Task-Onshore EAST is responsible for planning and coordination of main components and blades activities and coordination of commissioning activities. A new responsibility is related to field resources and the new Travel Team department.
We are looking for a dedicated Travel Team Supervisor to ensure performance and leading the crews of Travel Technicians (which are travelling 100% of the time to various sites in NCE region), in a compliance with Vestas safety standards and processes. As a Supervisor you need to ensure your team is qualified and possess relevant and valid certifications and training, so that the competencies can be used on site in the most effective way. As a Supervisor, you need to also understand the issues of your team, but you will be also appointed to cooperate with the NCE Regions/Sub-Region.
Responsibilities - Remote Team Leadership, effectively lead and supervise a remote team of 50 employees, including Lead Technicians and Service Technicians
- Responsible for recruitment and building capacity. People skills development, competencies and training actions are managed including safety related
- Delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, safety standards and performance ensured
- Ensure task execution in compliance with procedures, department guidelines and Vestas Standards
- Controls implementation of construction plans, correspondence of the volume and quality of construction and installation works
- Investigates the causes of the delays and the quality deterioration of construction and installation works, takes measures on prevention and elimination thereof
- Control of technological discipline, norms and rules, health and safety, requirements of the environmental authorities and bodies carrying out technical supervision
Qualifications - Experience in a similar leadership role with a proven ability to develop teams and organizational results, also with remote leadership
- Very good English, both written and verbally
Professional competence and/or authorization to act as an authorized person under the Czech Trade Licensing Act:
- authorization or entry in the list of registered persons pursuant to Act No 360/1992 Coll., authorization act
- a university degree in a master's degree program and a field of study focusing on civil engineering or architecture and 3 years' experience in building construction, or
- a university degree in a bachelor's degree program and a field of study focusing on civil engineering or architecture and 5 years' experience in building construction, or
- higher vocational education in a field of education focused on construction and 5 years of experience in construction, or
- secondary education with a school-leaving certificate in a field of education focused on construction and 5 years of experience in construction
Competencies - Ability to lead and motivate the team - problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making
- A safety-first mindset, quality focus and compliance
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Analytical and detailed oriented
- Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Salesforce and IT in general. If you have been part of implementing new IT Systems, this would be beneficial
- Good facilitation and presentation skills on Management level
