West River Mental Health is accepting applications for a Director of SMI Services. This position provides overall management of the programs and services offered through the division. Provide oversight to staff on policies and procedures related to compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and laws, ethics, programs, and client services.

RequirementsEducation and ExperienceMust be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as defined in SDCL 27A-1-3 and must have at least four years in a clinical mental health setting.
Essential Job Functions:- Identify, implement, and promote staff training needs to comply with agency standard, licensing, and professional development.
- Provide direct supervision to staff regarding clinical and non-clinical practices and mental health services with an emphasis on SED children.
- Manage and participate within multiple teams.
- Supervise clinical services for efficiency and client/customer satisfaction.
- Supervise the treatment of all services to clients providing client-driven, home-based services.
- Document client activity in clinical records as required by company operating procedures.
- Promote WRMH mission, philosophy, code of ethics, vision, principles, and chosen values to support a positive working environment and continuous quality improvement among staff.
- Participate in Quality Assurance Team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to mental health services.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

- Computer skills.
- Ability to maintain a SD driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.
