Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Testing Engineer to join our team in the development of a cutting-edge product designed for nucleotide extraction. This role involves supporting both testing and pilot manufacturing activities, ensuring the product and subcomponents meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with their hands. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
Principal Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
- Develop QC protocols: define quality metrics and acceptance criteria, establish defect and batch tracking
- Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant internal protocols and quality guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Manufacturing Support:
- Assemble components and parts into finished products according to specifications.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Implement pilot production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues related to product testing and performance.
- Work closely with the R&D and Engineering teams to implement process improvements and ensure smooth production workflows and product consistency.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of testing and manufacturing activities.
Possible Responsibilities:
Testing, Verification and Validation:
- Perform functionality testing on prototype products and components
- Document and analyze test results, identifying trends and potential issues.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Physics or a related field.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in QC or manufacturing environment
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, testing and quality control.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
