What will you be responsible for?
Lead and define accounting close calendar, drive consolidated financial statements creation, optimize BPC consolidation and cashflow systems, coordinate accounting in system development lifecycle, handle ad hoc projects for FP&A and Operations, deliver management reports, and conduct cashflow analyses and reporting.

Key Work Activities:
- Lead the accounting close calendar and drive reporting actions in line with the calendar.
- Investigate consolidated financial statements and initiate the creation of statements.
- Lead the BPC consolidation system development and streamline its processes.
- Drive and initiate the accounting coordination on the system development lifecycle.
- Handle and initiate ad hoc projects to support functions such as FP&A and Operations.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of management reports for accounting.
- Initiate the creation of consolidation master data.
- Lead and handle cashflow reporting.
- Initiate the creation and streamline of the BPC cashflow system.
- Lead and deliver ad hoc cashflow analyses and reporting.

Your training, skills, and experienceEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA and advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Knowledge of financial statements and reporting process required.
- Experience with SAP-BPC applications is preferred.
- Accounting and financial reporting experience with a publicly-traded company preferred.
- Prior consolidations experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Advanced proficiency in project and program development and management.
- Mining or other extractive industry experience preferred, including operational, financial, and statistical reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Critical thinking and ability to drive decision making with input from various stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and trends.
- High attention to detail and detailed review skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $138,240-$164,160. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
