The SLB-Capturi US team is seeking a highly qualified Lead Piping and Layout Engineer. Reporting to SLB-Capturi Engineering Manager US, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, understanding and following technical specifications for piping designs and layouts related to of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS).
Roles and Responsibilities: - Develop equipment and piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangements ensuring compliance with project specifications, piping materials, codes, and standards.
- Lead the development of piping deliverables associated with project engineering designs, studies, cost estimates, and project executions.
- Ensure Piping Engineering deliverables and design adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Responsible for approving 3D model, stress analysis, drawings, and other piping deliverables.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate piping layouts and designs into overall product design.
- Perform technical reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for piping layouts and systems.
- Lead a multi-location team of Piping Engineers in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) projects, studies or product development.
- Develop, review, and ensure proposals contain clearly defined material, equipment, and delivery information.
- Manage and develop a team of Piping Engineers through sharing your technical experience, providing company and individual training opportunities, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned.
Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Piping Engineering with a proven track record of delivering on commitments and managing engineering teams.
- Strong technical knowledge in Piping Engineering principles, processes, methods, and tools.
- Proven experience and strong knowledge of piping designs related to gas plants, heat exchangers, pumps, scrubbers, columns, vessels, etc.
- Works independently applying advance engineering techniques and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Meticulous attention to detail in design, testing, and documentation processes.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A self-starter that demonstrates a positive outlook and contributes to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
