Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated, out-of-the-box thinker to join our tax team. Our tax department revolves around helping our internal stakeholders effectively manage their tax obligations proactively and responsibly as well as properly report tax in the group's financial reporting requirements. During the internship, you'll gain first-hand knowledge of the day-to-day responsibilities that come with this exciting and rewarding career. You'll receive mentorship and guidance from our tax professionals and have the opportunity to help develop solutions to complex tax issues through research, use of our internal technology systems, and consultation with other team members.
This is a spring internship that will commence in
May 2025. We are looking for a commitment of at least 20-30 hours per week.
An Intern's role in VWTS's Tax Group includes:
- Participate in the preparation of VWTS's global tax compliance and tax provision engagements, including interacting with financial management within the Company and third-party service providers;
- Assist with information gathering and work paper organization;
- Apply problem solving skills through research of tax laws, rules/regulations and analyze their application to specific situations;
- Demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member, building solid relationships with various team members across the Finance department;
- Perform other tax compliance and administrative duties as assigned by management;
- Manage multiple assignments in a team environment in-person and virtually;
- Proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback;
- Maintain flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks;
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Requirements:
- Minimum Degree Required: Must be enrolled in a college or University in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting, Finance
Additional Educational Preferences: Intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Interns typically join us during the spring prior to their intended graduation year.
