Position Summary
- Primary objective is to solicit new business for unbranded motor fuel supply.
- Develop new and existing customer relationships
- Build a potential customer pipeline to grow motor fuel sales in the branded channel.
Responsibilities
- Through regular communication, build rapport with customers to solicit market information to assist Director of Wholesale Marketing and the Supply and Trading unit with physical strategy
- Responsible for supporting a book of existing business, or multiple territories and generating new business within the assigned regions
- Origination of new short term and index-based agreements across assigned regions
- Expansion of assigned territory by volume, customer and geographic reach
- Catalog to completion all deal leads and new prospects
- Annual volume and margin guidance within the forecasting process
- Provides information to Team Leader on account activity during sales meetings with an emphasis in communicating via meaningful presentations
- Prepares all documents associated with new business activity to include credit applications and proposals
- Assists Team Leader to evaluate the profitability for commercial customers in an assigned territory and makes appropriate recommendations for changes or cancellations
- Strong experience w/ DTN Tabs, Fuelbuyer and Fuelseller
- Assist with daily rack pricing strategy and publications
- Interface with departments to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices
- Resolve customer issues and/or concerns in a Win/Win fashion
- Provide back-up support for Director as required
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5years’ experience in unbranded wholesale fuel sales.
- Strong mathematical aptitude to pricing and competitive analyses
- Microsoft Office and CRM proficiency
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships in the refined products industry
- Staff management (for future growth opportunities)
