Are you a proficient Legal Counsel who would like to use your abilities to create a more sustainable world? The Construction department is in charge of the construction of wind projects (EPC) and installation and commissioning of the wind turbines (supply & installation) under contracts sold by the sales department.
Responsibilities: - Supervise the work of the contractor companies adhering to the guidelines of labor safety, quality, manuals and work instructions.
- Management of general daily on-site issues, reporting and site work deliverables. Planning and preparation of site work rosters and schedules; handling and updating these in SAP.
- Management of and coordination with on-site personnel (Installation Team and Service Technicians) to ensure all work is performed timely, efficiently and safely. Liaison and coordination with on-site employer representatives and subcontractors.
- Present the Site Induction to all Vestas' on-site personnel, subcontractors, and visitors; attend site meetings with the client.
- Ensuring Quality, OH&S and Environmental requirements, including reporting and record-keeping for the site is are maintained and complied with by on-site personnel and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and daily work team briefings, handle daily task management board. If required to also work in turbines as part of the maintenance business needs.
- Review and approve time sheets, expense reports, leave requests, overtime requests and travel requests.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (desirable but not limiting).
- Availability to travel in Iberia / South Africa.
- High level of English (C1).
- Service and people management experience in the following industries are advantages: wind industry, heavy machinery industry, construction.
- Experience in energy construction works.
