Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting the movement of Pipe from the Yard to various locations.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved.
- Verifies heat numbers, quantity, and complete chocking of pipe.
- Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Painting, stenciling, sandblasting, coating pipes. -
- Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.
- Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area.
- Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager.
- Operate heavy motorized material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Accurately pick products ordered.
- Coordinate the removal and replacement of worn components.
- Accurately cycle count, thoroughly inspect orders, and unload trucks with forklift.
- Effectively put items away and receive them in TRACS.
- Coordinate the reorganization and reconfiguration of the yard.
Qualifications
Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities:
- Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends
- Background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
- Reliable transportation
- Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation
- Positive attitude; good team player
- Fork Lift License - B2
- Secondary School Education or equivalent
- Banksman Slinger
- Previous experience in a similar role

Physical demands and work environment:
- Ability to work around moving machinery
- Ability to perform under stress, under pressure, and/or in emergency situations.
- Lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
- Operate machinery and/or power tools.
- Ability to walk on uneven ground (gravel, rocks, mounds, ice)
- Wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, goggles and full body harness.
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull, reach, and use repetitive wrist and hand movements.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and/or ramps while carrying tools requiring a reasonable degree of physical stamina and agility and involving moderate to severe physical exertion
- Carry up to 10 lbs.
- Operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (Cold or Heat)
