SR. APPLICATIONS ANALYST (Hydrocarbon Accounting)
Primary Purpose of Job
Perform application lifecycle management activities to ensure effectiveness of HIMS HA applications and maximize the business value. Lead the analysis, design, implementation, and support, and maintenance of complex and highly integrated application environment. Close and effective collaboration with end-user community, stakeholders across various departments, and solution providers. Hydrocarbon Information Management System (HIMS) solutions are highly integrated industry leading solutions supporting business critical functions of the LNG Value Chain. Hydrocarbon Accounting (HA) is the process of measuring, tracking, and reporting the volume and movement of gas and related products from extraction to sales.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in any of the following discipline(s) - Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science • Minimum 8 years of IT experience (ideally within the Energy sector) • Trained and preferably certified as PMP or equivalent.
Experience & Skills
• Proven track record of leading and managing IT applications implementation projects including experience with different project management methodologies. • Manage the entire project life cycle, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery of projects. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions to minimize downtime and optimize application performance environment. • Demonstrated experience in developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting business applications. Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools. • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, information security practices, and technological advancement while effectively managing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment. • Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, software vendors, and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and effective solutions. • Possess a deep understanding of procurement processes, enabling effective management of vendor relationship and facilitating the acquisition of necessary resources. • Prior working experience with Hydrocarbon Accounting applications (Energy Components or similar applications used in the Energy industry) will be an advantage. • Demonstrated ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in the industry to drive innovation and continuous improvement. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
