Nacelles R&D > Control Hardware Module > Nacelle Power Distribution
CHW(Control Hardware) module team is responsible for delivering optimized and reliable control solutions for our Wind Turbines including the functional safety.
This includes the real-time communication backbone that ties all the distributed control nodes together, the real time operating system of the control nodes and the high-level functionality that control all operation in the turbine.
CHW moduleis responsible for maintaining the man machine & plant interface, service functionality, sensing (wind, azimuth, yawing, tower acceleration), AUX power supply & backup.
We are a team of around 200+ engineers spread between Denmark, Portugal & India working in a highly innovative technology-centric and process oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Tech leadership for Creating or Update of TPS (Technical Purchase Specifications) for LV Panels and LV cables
- Verify and provide input for Electrical documentations like panel layout, electrical diagrams etc.
- Review or Update Service and Installation procedures
- Provide / facilitate supplier interaction for type tests / routine tests on LV panels and LV cables
- Responsible for the work documented according to Vestas way to market process in control and auxiliary power area
- Exposure to EMC / EMI needs to the product
- Self motivated and work effectively
- Collaboration with entire value chain (Space claim, Cross Function Review & Tech reviews)
Qualifications
- Master or Bachelor of Electrical engineering or Electrical and Electronics engineering
- Min 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering designing and building of LV electrical systems
Competencies
- Very good understanding of International standards such as IEC, UL, CCC etc., preferably IEC 60204-1 Machine directive
- Hands on experience on Electrical drafting tools like Eplan, SEE electrical
- Good in tools such as RCA / DFMA/FMEA
- Should have min 2 to 3 hands on experience on RCA / DFMA /FMEA
- Understanding of product development process with knowledge of all design phases from concept to validation and improvement
- Experience with Jira and agile methodologies and project management
- Good English skills (speaking and writing)
- Experience on PTC windchill PDM link
- Experience on change management system
