Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer is primarily responsible for evaluating and developing solutions for a wide variety of complex issues relating to the production environment of offsite construction. This individual is expected to collect fact-based information through direct observation, data collection, and active listening and then provide clear and timely recommendations for action.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update BOMs and Routings in Global Shop and REVIT
- Create, update, and assist with the implementation of production processes
- Update time standards and perform time studies
- Work with vendors and suppliers of manufacturing equipment on design and implementation
- Identify and eliminate waste in the production process through LEAN methodology
- Create and improve production line layouts
- Support Operations and Architectural & Engineering Departments with daily issues
- Help with educating the Production team regarding drawing details and provide feedback to Architectural & Engineering on documentation improvements
- Act as the conduit for a free flow of information between Architectural & Engineering and Production
- Lead design feedback meetings for continual improvement of product and process
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
- BS in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or similar or AAS degree and 2 years of experience in lieu of education
- 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of wood construction. A background in offsite construction (modular or RV) preferred
- Experience with off-site construction; modular, penalizations, RV, fenestration will be an advantage
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical drawings, specifications and code is required
- REVIT and ERP experience preferred, but not required

Pay: From $56,648.23 per hour
