We are currently looking for a VDC Manager to provide support for a high profile company in the semiconductor industry. The VDC Manager will be responsible for leading and accountability of all VDC deliverables and VDC staff including the implementation of BIM/VDC methods and services. The VDC Manager can work remotely, however, site visits will be required to lead and encourage continued use and implementation of VDC in the field and off-site construction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- This position will create, maintain, and manage integrated multi-disciplinary performance model(s).
- Coordination with the owner, subcontractors, and supplier. It is intended to utilize international supply chain partners. One goal is to maximize off-site construction.
- Product data and attributes to enable (on and off-site) construction.
- Utilization of BIM/ 3D models to assist in estimating the time and capital budget during preconstruction and to monitor accurate installation and field progress during construction.
- As a member of the construction core team (key personnel) interface directly with clients, owners, engineers, the Authority Having Jurisdiction, and architects.
Knowledge & Skills Required: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related degree
- Minimum 10 years' recent experience leading VDC.
- Experience utilizing BIM for 4D and project coordination/clash detection.
- Experience working with Design and Construction teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Map 3D.
- Experience with SharePoint, BIM 360 Docs and Bluebeam.
- Strong experience with relational database concepts, methods, and practices.
