As a Storekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies. You will also be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and complying with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Receive and verify incoming stock against purchase orders and invoices.
- Store items in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to identify discrepancies and adjust records accordingly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a computer-based inventory management system.
- Issuing and Receiving: Issue materials, equipment, and supplies to authorized personnel upon request.
- Verify requisitions and ensure proper documentation and authorization.
- Receive returned items, inspect for damage, and update inventory records.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Implement effective storage and retrieval methods to optimize space utilization.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to your supervisor immediately.
- Additional Duties: Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles.
- Participate in physical inventories as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or storekeeping role.
- Forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software.
- Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid schedule: At home, in office, and travel to the port
More Info:
- PTO = 20 days.
- Sick days = 12 days.
- Selected professional will be working at both ProvPort & Office.
- Location between the two is only 10 minutes.
- Selected professional will work at the port during campaigns & at the office during the down period.
- There is not a fixed hybrid schedule as they are typically flexible. Can sometimes 1, 2, or 3 days at the office/wfh. Just all depends each week.
