Field Engineer Electrical Quality Control and Field Engineer Location: Kingston, GA
Pay Rate: $59.35 - $77.03
Per Diem: $115 per day
Role OverviewThe electrical quality control and field engineer is responsible for planning and executing field inspections, site verifications, subcontract coordination, and other activities as directed by the discipline lead engineer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Issuing site inspection requests
- Conducting and recording field inspections
- Monitoring site subcontractor progress and preparing daily reports
- Issuing NCR/CAR reports for quality defects as needed
- Reviewing and clarifying design issues via RFIs
- Managing construction documents in the field and coordinating with subcontractors
- Coordinating activities between subcontractors and the client
- Reviewing subcontractor as-builts for accuracy
- Evaluating and analyzing subcontractor performance on-site
- Performing design coordination activities with engineering and subcontractors, and supporting design reviews
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university and 5 years of related construction experience, or 10 years of construction experience without a degree
- Right to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Minimum Qualifications - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
- Experience in performing inspections in the electrical and control discipline on construction projects
- Self-motivated and able to work well in a team with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with industry quality standards
- Good working knowledge of current design codes and standards, such as ACI, AISC, ASME
Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in Construction Quality Control and/or Field Engineering at a commercial project
- Familiarity with Work Processes Procedures and related Standard application programs
- Korean language skills
Physical Requirements: The role requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections, which involves extensive walking around the construction site, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must be able to enter and exit the project site and use the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks (e.g., harness, life vest, lift buckets).
