Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to optimizing and supporting mechanical systems. This role will involve delivering technical solutions throughout all project phases, from initial design review to final implementation.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with India office with mechanical engineering activities including the review of design of mechanical systems, equipment specifications, and detailed mechanical drawings. Develop and review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and ensure alignment with process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- Develop and optimize mechanical designs to enhance performance, focusing on equipment efficiency, reliability, and integration with process systems.
- Ensure mechanical designs comply with industry standards and client specifications, including safety, environmental impact, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, instrumentation, and controls specialists, to support the design and engineering phases of projects.
- Provide technical input during the procurement phase to ensure equipment and materials meet process requirements and project specifications. Support construction activities by resolving mechanical issues and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing mechanical systems and processes, including the introduction of new technologies and enhancements to current operations.
- Ensure all mechanical engineering work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Perform hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate mechanical risks.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within an EPC environment; preferred experience in gas processing and/or cryogenic projects.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis tools. Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).
- Experience working on large-scale capital projects, from front-end engineering design (FEED) through execution and commissioning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or similar qualifications.
