The Data Engineer will be responsible for working with various department representatives and the IT team to create, update, and maintain data pipelines between all applications and analytics systems.

Essential Job Description
- Create and maintain data pipeline architecture using SQL and python.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, joining, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, python and other various tools like Docker, AWS and Snowflake.
- Use third party APIs from many sources to extract data and load into data warehouse.
- Create data tests to ensure data delivered to the business is timely and trustworthy.
- With direct input from business units, build analytics data sources that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Ensure sensitive data is correctly segregated from people who should not have access.
- Create data tools for analytics and data team members that assist them in building and optimizing datasets for use across the company.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Required Qualifications
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Expert python programmer who?s worked on various data projects extracting data from various sources, transforming/cleaning data, and sending to data warehouses.
- Experience building and optimizing ?big data? data pipelines, architectures, test frameworks and data sets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unfamiliar and unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets using various methods like APIs, CSVs, database connectors, etc.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ?big data? data stores.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field. They should also have experience using the following software/tools:
- Experience with relational SQL databases, including Postgres, Snowflake, MySQL, and MS SQL Server.
- Experience with object-oriented/object functional scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, Prefect, etc.
- Experience with data analytics tools like Tableau and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, ECS, RDS

- Salary Range is DOE $120,000-$135,000
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, exclusive of overtime, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Yamaha Guitar Group will consider the individual candidate's education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
