Senior Engineer for PRA, Risk Analysis.
This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.
Your Day-to-Day: - Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems evaluating plants potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.) for domestic and international plants
- Lead project teams effectively contributing to the technical execution as well as the schedule and financial objectives
- Support and identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings and pursue target product markets
- Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
- Develop and support innovation products from conception through marketing and delivery
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: - At minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical)
- 5+ years professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience with PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants
- Knowledge of PWR reactor operations
- In addition to basic Risk and Hazard skills, should have a strong knowledge of
- Internal/External Hazards PRAs
- Level 2 PRAs
- Human Reliability Analysis (HRA)
- Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
- Working knowledge of PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum)
- Peer Review experience considered a plus
Nice-to-Have: - 10-12 years of overall experience
- Professional Engineer License considered a plus
- Masters Degree
