Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our team at Crispin Valve. As an Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring the successful implementation of our valve products in various municipal and industrial applications. This position requires a strong understanding of valve technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Technical support: Provide technical assistance and support to customers by interpreting their needs, understanding their applications, and recommending suitable valve solutions.
2. Product selection: Collaborate with customers and sales team to determine the most appropriate valve products for specific applications, considering factors such as fluid compatibility, pressure, temperature, and regulatory requirements.
3. Application analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of customer requirements and application specifications to develop comprehensive valve solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
4. Design and configuration: Assist in the design and configuration of valve solutions, including selection of ancillary equipment, such as actuators, controllers, and instrumentation, to meet customer requirements.
5. Product documentation: Prepare technical documentation including valve specifications, installation guides, operation manuals, and troubleshooting procedures, to support customers and internal teams
6. Training and presentations: Conduct product training sessions for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, demonstrating the features, benefits and proper usage of valve products
7. Project management: Manage the communication and timing of execution for ongoing large format projects. Provide direct, accurate, and timely information to and from the customer as to current production performance and status.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality control and sales, to ensure effective communication, seamless project execution, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years+ of experience in a technical role related to valve applications or fluid control systems
3. In depth knowledge of various valve types (gate, globe, ball, butterfly, ect.), their applications, and associated industry standards and specifications
4. Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software, valve sizing and selection software, and engineering analysis tools is desirable
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Familiarity with industrial sectors such as water treatment/transmission, oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and pharmaceuticals, and an understanding of their specific valve requirements in a big plus
