Position:
RAN Support Engineer (Alpharetta, Georgia) - Telecommuting Position – may be performed anywhere in the U.S.
Duties:
Support post-launch optimization and alarm management for UMTS/LTE/5G RAN networks. Facilitate deployment of new sites/carriers to improve the coverage and the UMTS/LTE/5G footprint in various markets. Support in-house deployment team in the integration process to optimize scope of delivery. Perform KPI and alarm analysis. Perform initial system configuration and network monitoring activities during different network phases and perform troubleshooting where necessary. Provide support for construction and integrations of new elements in the customer RAN network. Provide support to field crews who are involved in construction and integration of RAN elements. Provide support in clearing alarms on new and existing RAN elements in ENM platform.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a RAN Support Engineer, or related occupation in providing support for customer RAN network Or, alternatively: Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience as a RAN Support Engineer, or related occupation in providing support for customer RAN network. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Supporting construction and integration of RAN elements; Working with Ericsson ENM, AMOS, RMAP, CEX, and Element manager; Troubleshooting antennae systems, Amplifiers, and RXAIT in RT Transmission line(s); Troubleshooting hardware units (radio units, remote radio units, RBS 66630, and RBS 5216 ); Creating and executing scripts for integration of RBS (RBS 66630 or RBS 5216).
