- You are presently working as an electrical engineer on power electronics (electric motor drives/battery converters/solar inverters). But...you would love the opportunity to visit with clients and travel (nationally and globally).
- As a SOLUTIONS ENGINEER you will work with clients directly to educate them on ways to design/prototype/and test power electronics control systems.
Your role is to build a relationship with clients' engineers and product managers.
You will guide and advise them in creating tailored test solutions to improve the quality of their control systems and design processes.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary international team working closely with power electronics engineers, hardware/software/firmware engineers, and business developers.
You are ready to get out of the lab and meet customers. Perhaps, you are already doing this with your job today.
You excel at technical challenges and enjoy interfacing with business partners and sales professionals.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting customer projects from pre-sales, through development, to commissioning on grid modernization, microgrids, power electronics and shipboard power systems.
- Designing, building, testing and maintaining hardware in the loop Testbeds and components
- Developing models, application notes, and documentation for Controller-Hardware-in the Loop simulation platform.
- Developing test and test automation scripts for low and system level controllers
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to design, develop, and test Hardware-in-the-Loop testbeds, on both hardware and software, for end-users’ design and test processes improvement.
- Reviewing and writing technical papers and technical application notes for customers.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Experience and passion for power electronics and/or power systems
- Hands-on experience with digital controls and embedded systems
