Job Summary:The Organix Director of Operations will lead operations at our fertilizer and soil amendments operations in Platteville, CO, Lewiston, UT and Pasco, WA. This role requires managing resources, fostering team engagement, and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality fertilizers and sustainable products, while aligning with customer, federal, and state expectations.
Essential Job Functions:Operations Management
- Lead operations at Organix, overseeing fertilizer production and soil operations.
- Manage supply chain to meet needs of operations.
- Ensure compliance with product and testing standards.
- Optimize production and business performance using KPIs for labor, efficiency, and resource management.
Leadership and Employee Engagement
- Lead with a strategic mindset in agriculture and fertilizer production.
- Engage employees at all levels to foster growth and passion.
Technical Expertise
- Improve processes, formulations, and technology.
- Provide technical support to teams and drive continuous operational improvement.
Stewardship
- Manage natural resources sustainably and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Prioritize safety and security across operations.
Business Strategy and Development
- Oversee operational budgets and meet financial targets.
- Implement KPIs and strategies to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with product requirements and environmental regulations.
Relentless Pursuit of Improvement
- Continuously drive improvements in processes, systems, and productivity to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement and promote a culture of continuous improvement across all operational teams and business units.

Required Qualifications:- 9-12 years of experience in operations management in manufacturing, supply chain management and logistics
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team toward achieving organizational goals.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze financial and operational data to make informed decisions.
- Experience managing complex situations through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in operations management within the fertilizer production, agronomy, turf management and/or agriculture
- In-depth understanding of both synthetic and organic fertilizers.
- Experience in compost and soil production.
- Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field preferred.
- Experience with state regulatory requirements.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Capable of lifting or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
- Hand-eye coordination required for operating computers and office equipment.
Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for site visits, equipment demonstrations, industry events, and leadership/training events.
