What We Are Looking For
Highly motivated business development/sales professional with demonstrated experience to identify and develop new accounts while maintaining and servicing existing accounts; market segments include medical device and healthcare applications. Must be effective at developing strong business relationships with key decision makers and developing business opportunity with the primary measurements being account identification, face to face meetings, account development and retention measured against quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with customers and ensure consistent follow-up and support to drive revenue.
- Develop networks and contacts to sell into companies and organizations at a high level with an enterprise-wide multiple unit approach.
- Develop strong product knowledge of all 3D Systems and its Healthcare division capabilities to present a broad and reasonably deep overview of our offerings Maintain excellent knowledge of Company's current/future products and solutions.
- Balance and flexibility to manage short cycle sales and long cycle business development customer opportunities.
- Develops new prospects from personal research and company led lead generation activities targeting the medical device and healthcare markets.
- Collaborate and coordinate with product development to initiate and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Must be able to recognize when additional 3D Systems technical resources are required to satisfy a customer's needs. Understand how to utilize those resources effectively and efficiently.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the medical device and healthcare markets.
- Familiar with contract negotiation and execution. Comfortable working with legal oversight and engage on customer agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, quality agreements, supply agreements and services consulting agreements.
- Communicate and execute Sales Forecasts and Strategic Sales plans to management.
- Relies on experience and business acumen to accomplish to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks and works under general supervision.
QualificationsProfessional Qualifications and Strategic Capabilities You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or a relevant field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least four (4) years of technical sales or marketing experience in medical device or healthcare industry with a proven track record of significant and measurable success.
- Mandatory experience in selling within the medical device and healthcare market is required.
- Required demonstrated ability to exercise strategic creativity and independent judgment in business development.
- Valid Driver's License absolutely required for extensive regional and national travel.
Technical Expertise, Sales Acumen, and Professional Requirements
- Ideal candidate has technical sales and/or marketing experience in medical device or healthcare industry and has been involved in product planning and commercialization.
- Ideal candidate has been in a sales position selling products to a medical device company.
- Ideal candidate has product development and manufacturing experience preferably in metal additive manufacturing processes, and/or polymer processing technologies (e.g., machining, injection molding, etc.) and additive manufacturing processes (e.g., SLS, SLA, DLP, Multi-Jet, etc.)
- Experience in creating presentations that translate product and benefits into measurable, quantifiable cost savings.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development and flow through an organization and purchasing procedures is required.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to travel for sales calls and meetings.
- Requires an ambitious and optimistic personality with an aggressive approach to selling and business development, a reputation of integrity and a track record of creatively satisfying customer needs, a strong track record of developing and growing business with an existing customer base as well as aggressively pursuing new business through cold calls and other prospecting avenues.
- Must be comfortable in a sales environment with sales targets and quota expectations.
- Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy: a strategic vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed and evolving business unit structure.
The 3D Systems Advantage!
- Salary Range: $115,400 - $144,200 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
- In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance.
- 3D Systems offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage, company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid basic life insurance. Sick Leave, Flex (Vacation) Time, Parental Leave, and 8 holidays per year are also provided as paid time off. 3D Systems also provides a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan option with a company match.
