Job Summary
The Junior Data Engineer leads the organization’s data integration initiative by managing integrations with 3rd party integrations and the data warehouse; facilitates automation to move data into a single Data Lake; and collaborates with the organization’s business units to address data integration needs.
Responsibilities

Work closely with the business to integrate data from multiple sources for analytics

Lead the organization’s data integration initiative by managing integrations with 3rd party vendors and the data warehouse

Enforce the data governance methodology
-
Collaborate with the organization’s business units for data integration needs
-
Map existing data sources from vendor Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) or other vendor integrations
-
Work closely with the Data Science and Analytics team
-
Facilitates automation to move data into a single Data Lake
-
Use .Net technology to assist with custom integration processes
-
Ensure the integrity of data by maintaining a working relationship with data science consultants
-
Perform research and analysis of Key Department Metrics (KDMs)
-
Provide quality assurance of imported data
-
Manage and design the reporting environment (i.e. data sources, security, and metadata reporting)

Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred

Minimum 3 years’ experience managing mid to large projects, preferred

Strong critical and analytical thinking skills, able to problem solve issues and provide effective solutions

Must have knowledge of data integration processes and vendor APIs
-
Willing and able to reach out for help with the required skill sets
-
Good verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with vendors, diverse stakeholders, and personnel at all levels of the organization

Organized with strong time management skills, can prioritize workload to meet deadlines
-
Highly collaborative, able to successfully work with a team to reach a common objective
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, Azure, and .Net technology

Must be willing to work onsite in Midland, TX 5 days a week
