About the role
Transcend is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to connect cloud systems to our business intelligence stack and extract useful metrics and reports. This role will play a pivotal part in driving our product maturity and our understanding of the real-world usage of our products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in cross-department collaboration and cloud infrastructure.
What you'll do

Securely link our cloud infrastructure components

Collaborate with product managers, Go-To-Market teams, and engineers to identify key metrics and develop strategies for effective extraction.

Design a comprehensive metrics collection plan for future engineering initiatives, encompassing all stages of product deployment.

Establish frameworks for evaluating the impact of engineering changes using techniques such as A/B testing, shadow logging, and feature flagging.

Oversee internal alerting and observability tools to enhance our engineering stack's performance and reliability.

Participate in strategic planning to optimize metrics and set ambitious future goals.

Work as an individual contributor on a new team within our organization
Who you are
-
A metrics enthusiast with a knack for organizing data into actionable insights

Someone with at least 3 years of developer experience with open source business intelligence tooling such as: Airbyte, Lightdash, Redshift, and DBT
-
Experienced in cloud environments, particularly AWS, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture
-
Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or Pulumi, to streamline deployment processes

A good communicator capable of working across multiple teams

Passionate about cloud security and committed to safeguarding data

For this role, the estimated annual total salary ranges are below. The actual annual salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
The listed range below is a guideline, and the annual total salary range for this role may be modified. Transcend offers attractive health benefits, equity, and perks in addition to cash compensation.

The pay range for this role is:
145,000 - 154,000 USD per year(United States)
