Our client, OneSubsea (JV of Schlumberger, Aker Solutions and Subsea7), located in Mobile, Alabama is looking to add Production Planners.
Position Summary
OneSubsea is seeking to hire 2 experienced Production Plannersto join our dynamic Umbilical & Cable Systems Engineering team at our manufacturing and design facility in Mobile, AL.
Ideal candidates will have Primavera P6 "hands-on" experience and SAP.
Essential Duties
- Produce and maintain an integrated production plan around the key drivers of resource and capacity constraints across the relevant product / process streams
- Operate and control the utilization of the MRP system to ensure supply and demand alignment for in house builds.
- Establish predictability in SAP manufacturing planning data and dates.
- Raise production orders based on slot plan and prepare production book / work pack.
- Work closely with warehouse team to ensure on time material issuance to production floor.
- Responsible for on-time delivery for production orders, secure material availability, at release of Production order.
- Maintain routings in SAP ensuring production orders are correct and aligned with the slot plan.
- Secure manufacturing start on time by assuring that all prerequisites are in place.
- Maintain progress of production orders in SAP and report any slippages with impact on overall production plan.
- Review and advise delivery dates for new and current orders after interfacing with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain routings in SAP ensuring production orders are correct and aligned with the slot plan.
- Prepare detailed planning activities in primavera
- Manage workload with realistic plans in SAP and assign scope to the relevant work centres based on capacity. (Maintain accurate work loading graphs showing current work, identifying Planned order dates which are either unachievable or have moved into the past).
- Day to day communication and alignment with the Manufacturing Team Leaders of the relevant work centres to secure adherence to the plan.
- Perform look ahead evaluations and flag shortages to the Manufacturing Leads / Material Planner / Master Planner.
- Report potential major capacity constraints requiring management decision
- Manage in-process sub-contractor activities in terms of prioritization and progress.
- Working closely with Quality team to issue NOI on time
- Update and provide input to MOR report and project meetings (KPIs & PIs, workload, and capacity).
- Produce, analyse and advise on SAP-generated production reports as required:
- Action and coordinate engineering change notifications (OCM/YA) for in house builds as per SAP workflow.
- Provide continual improvement of the production planning and reporting processes.
- Personally responsible for the quality of their work, making a positive contribution to the quality of both the department and the work carried out by their colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering or Management
- Minimum of 2 years of planningl or relevant experience
- Expert in Primavera P6 software as a 'hands-on' user required
- SAP experience required
- Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed, explaining why things are done the way they are within a broader organizational context
- Ability to monitor and report manufacturing progress
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is critical
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English arerequired
